Joanna Charlotte

Joanna Charlotte is a British oil painter and decorative artist whose work moves effortlessly between traditional oil painting and refined surface design. Her practice is often influenced by a subtle Japanese aesthetic, incorporating delicate compositions and the use of gold and silver leaf to create depth, texture and quiet luminosity.

Based in St Leonards-on-Sea on England’s South Coast, Joanna draws inspiration from the surrounding coastline and the landscapes of Kent and Sussex.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, including in New York, Singapore, Monaco and Stockholm, and is held in private collections, hotels and cruise ships around the world. Notable commissions include two gold leaf artworks for the luxury cruise ship Spirit of Discovery, scenic wallpapers for Osborne & Little, and the Orbis porcelain collection with German maker Goebel.
