Born and raised in former Yugoslavia, Zdravko (Zed) Talijan has lived in the UK for over twenty years. His work explores themes of memory, movement and identity, capturing the beauty of existing between cultures, places and moments in time. Blurring the line between abstraction and reality, Zed’s paintings are layered with atmospheric brushwork, creating dreamlike scenes that feel both nostalgic and deeply personal.

Central to his work are dancing figures suspended in timeless spaces, where movement, emotion and human connection take centre stage. Through texture, colour and expressive composition, Zed invites viewers to find their own meaning within each painting, creating works that feel open-ended, immersive and emotionally resonant.
