Casey Cooper is an Alaska-based wildlife photographer whose work captures intimate, unscripted moments between truly wild animals and the landscapes they call home.

Long before photography became his medium, Casey’s life was shaped by a deep commitment to wildlife and conservation. His path has taken him from remote corners of the world as a conservationist, pilot, and bear guide to working hands-on with the rehabilitation of predator species. These experiences have given him an uncommon understanding of wild animals not simply as subjects, but as individuals with complex behaviors, personalities, and relationships.

Casey’s journey to this life was anything but conventional. After dropping out of college, he spent his late teens and early twenties struggling with addiction and repeatedly finding himself in jail. On March 20, 2014, he made a decision that would change the course of his life: enough was enough.

From that day forward, Casey committed himself to a life centered around wildlife, conservation, and photography. What began as a personal transformation evolved into a lifelong pursuit of understanding and documenting the natural world.

Today, Casey spends much of his time in some of the most remote and unforgiving environments in Alaska, Africa, Antarctica and everywhere in between… seeking moments that cannot be staged or recreated. His photographs are defined by patience, proximity, and respect quiet encounters that reveal the character of animals living entirely on their own terms.

Through his work, Casey hopes not only to create beautiful fine-art photography, but to foster a deeper appreciation for the wild places and animals that remain beyond our control.

His photographs are a testament to both the resilience of the wild and the possibility of transformation in the human spirit.
